News and prompts from Leadership Tarot

Hello Reader,

I hope you are in good health and taking some time to appreciate life’s little joys amongst the hubbub.

The first edition run of decks has sold out! I greatly appreciate the enthusiasm and initial stories I’ve heard from folks using their decks. I love hearing how you (and your clients) are using them.

Today I wanted to share some additional prompts that you can use with the deck and even without the deck. Let’s get into it.

As a solo inquiry, these prompts can kick off reflective writing - which is always a great option when you are looking for clarity. If writing isn’t your thing, video or voice memo can capture your thoughts for later review, or sharing (perhaps just an excerpt).

As a team exercise, having single card explorations that you roundtable discuss (synchronously) or post a brief description of how that card connects for them (asynchronously) allows for surfacing shared approaches and the diverse lenses that team members bring.

If you don’t have a deck, think about an image - be it nature inspired or from your favorite book or show - and have it serve for the “card” in your response.

  • What one card best represents your current vibe at work?
  • What one card best represents what you would like your style to be a year from now?
  • How has the context of you work changed over the past 12-18 months? Are there cards that particularly resonate with the context of your work in different phases of that time period?
  • Shuffle and pull a card at random and see how you might connect to or reframe a current aspect of your work that’s been challenging/draining.

As a refresher, context is your feeling of the setting for the work, style is how you relate to others involved in the work, and vibe is the tone you set or how you feel doing the work.

I invite you to share how you have been using the deck and if there are any cards that particularly resonate with you. You can share in reply to this email or by tagging @leadershiptarot on Twitter or Instagram or @karmawindstorm on TikTok. Feel free to follow any of those accounts to see three card readings and other leadership related content.

Thank you and take care,

Kara
